Last updated: May 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PR Notify Slack app and the hosted service operated by Sunshine Techworks (ABN 59 640 794 044) at sunshinetech.com.au and pr-notify-api.sunshinetech.com.au. By installing or using PR Notify you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing PR Notify into a Slack workspace, by linking your GitHub account via /pr-notify link, or by otherwise using the app, you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not install or use PR Notify.
If you are installing PR Notify on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms and that "you" in these Terms includes both you and that organisation.
2. About PR Notify
PR Notify is a Slack app that delivers personalised GitHub pull request notifications via direct message. It is operated by Sunshine Techworks. Use of the hosted service is currently free of charge.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- Workspace installation must be performed by a Slack workspace administrator or by a user authorised to install apps on behalf of the workspace.
- To link a GitHub account, you must own the account or be authorised to represent it.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
4. Acceptable use
When using PR Notify you agree that you will not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the inner workings of the hosted service (this restriction applies to the hosted service only; the source code is separately available under the open source license described in section 8).
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service, or attempt to circumvent any security or authentication mechanism.
- Link a GitHub username that you do not own or that you are not authorised to represent.
- Use the app to send unsolicited messages, to harass, spam, defame, or otherwise harm any person.
- Use the app in a way that breaches the Slack Terms of Service, the GitHub Terms of Service, any applicable law, or any contractual obligation you owe to a third party (including your employer).
- Use the app to transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise the hosted service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service or the data contained in it.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your Slack workspace installation secure, including managing which users in your workspace have administrative access.
- Ensuring continued compliance with the Slack and GitHub Terms of Service while using PR Notify.
- Linking only GitHub usernames that you own or that you are authorised to represent.
- Promptly notifying us at support@sunshinetech.com.au if you become aware of unauthorised access to your account, a security vulnerability, or any misuse of the app.
- The acts and omissions of users in your Slack workspace who interact with PR Notify.
6. Service availability and limitations
- PR Notify is provided to you free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, response time, or message delivery rate.
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including operational, legal, security, or commercial.
- We may apply rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical restrictions at our discretion to keep the service stable and available to all users.
- The service depends on third-party platforms including Amazon Web Services, Slack, and GitHub. Outages, changes, deprecations, or limitations imposed by those platforms are outside our control and may affect the availability or functionality of PR Notify.
- We may release updates that change features or behaviour of the app.
7. Privacy
Our collection, storage, and use of data are described in the PR Notify Privacy Policy. By using PR Notify you also agree to the practices set out in that policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- PR Notify is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Sunshine Techworks to you arising out of or relating to your use of PR Notify, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, is limited to AUD $0 (zero Australian dollars). This reflects the fact that you pay no fees to use the service.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection law.
12. Termination
- You may stop using PR Notify at any time by uninstalling the app from your Slack workspace, by clicking Unlink Account in the PR Notify App Home tab, or by running
/pr-notify unlink. Data deletion behaviour following termination is described in the Privacy Policy. - We may suspend or terminate your access to PR Notify at any time, with or without notice, where you breach these Terms, where we suspect misuse, where required by law, or for operational reasons.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15, will survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For changes that materially reduce your rights or change your obligations, we will make a reasonable effort to notify Slack workspace administrators via an in-app message before the change takes effect. Your continued use of PR Notify after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
